Asset Purchase Makes Doralco 100-Percent Employee-Owned
DAMS Inc., short for D. Architectural Metal Solutions Inc., has purchased the assets of Doralco. The new owners say the purchase makes the former Doralco a 100-percent employee-owned company. DAMS is led by former Doralco employees Trip Hummel and Matthew JaBaay. It will maintain its headquarters in the Chicago area and will retain the company’s entire production team. See More

Eight building projects were recognized by the Metal Construction Association (MCA) at the 2015 chairman’s awards show in October. The chairman’s awards were given in eight categories: commercial/industrial, education, colleges and universities, education, primary and secondary schools, institutional, metal roofing, municipal and residential. Selected by a panel of professional architects, eight outstanding building projects from across the country were recognized by the Metal Construction Association (MCA) at the 2015 Chairman’s Awards show today.
Announced at the METALCON Tradeshow and Conference at the Tampa Convention Center, the Chairman’s Awards are given to the year’s most exceptional building projects involving MCA member companies.
